Installation Requirements

This guide will walk you through the requirements for successfully installing Onboard's Edge software on your building's IP network.

🗄️ Virtualization Requirements

This is the virtualization environment that is compatible with Onboard's software.

  • VMware version 14 or later (ESX 6.7 compatible)

🖥️ Hardware Requirements

This is the machine where Onboard’s Edge Software will run. It is typically managed by your building’s IT/OT department. If not, you can use an external device like a mini PC, or even a raspberry-pi.

Minimum Hardware Requirements‍

These are the minimum specs required to run Onboard’s Edge Software reliably:

  • 10GB Storage
  • 2GB Memory
  • 1 CPU Core
  • 2 Ethernet network connection ports if using an external hardware

Recommended Devices

Here are the recommended specifications to ensure smooth performance and compatibility.

  • Intel NUC Kit
  • ASUS NUC 14 Essential
  • Dell OptiPlex 3070 Micro
  • Lenovo ThinkCentre M900 Tiny Desktop
